Windmill
Point Farm is a beautiful 70 acre property
on Ile Perrot, an island just 30 minutes from
Montreal, Quebec. They specialize in organic
and heirloom varities of exotic fruit and vegetable
plants, seeds and trees adapted to cold climates.
Their aim is to provide nursery stock that will
yield a supply of local food year round, so
they are the perfect place to shop when making
a forest garden. We picked up a black raspberry
bush, "Purple Passion" apple, mulberry,
hartnut, seedless grape vine, male and female
Kolomiki hardy kiwi vines. |

Here Chas has planted a tree on the Southeastern
side of the main house (below left). Another
tree (below right) was planted facing south
to maximize sun exposure.

This tree (below left) was planted in the apple
orchard/campground behind the main house. Another
tree (below right) planted in the orchard. If
Chas continues to add trees, this area may in
time become an edible forest garden.

Other projects we worked on included: a Willow
Fence, Solar
Shower, and Sheet
Mulch Bed.
