Several volunteers cut branches from the prolific 'Ontario' Satiny Willows that grew on the boggy portions of the property. Chas used his tractor to dig a ditch along the fence line where willows would be planted. The large roll of chicken wire seen in the background was put into place to support the growing willows.

Handy thing, that tractor. Chas hopes to run it on home-made bio-diesel one day.

Next, the willows were planted into the freshly dug, moist ditch, where they could take root, and grow into a living fence surrounding the swimming pond.

Now swimmers, sun-bathers and skinny-dippers will be able to enjoy their privacy.
Other projects we worked on included: Sheet Mulch Bed, Solar Shower,
and a visit to WindMill Point Farm.
